We are excited to bring you our first in-person open house in over a year, and are especially honored to do so for “Shirley Jackson Whitaker: An Artist’s Reflection on African-American Life, Culture, and Trials.” Dr. Whitaker’s work reveals a wisdom, compassion, and strength gained through generational struggle and mirth. Her etchings, sketches, and paintings embrace life and recognize a legacy of pride both historic and modern, both grand and routine.

We invite you to contemplate Dr. Whitaker’s vision for yourself this Saturday, December 11th, any time between 11:00am and 4:00pm at our gallery in Copley Square. Masks and proof of vaccination will be required for entry. Dr. Whitaker herself will be present for conversation and to answer questions.

Preview the exhibit with a guided tour conducted by Dr. Whitaker, available here: https://youtu.be/d192FjXd_Qg
