Cyanotype onto blotter paper, with extensive hand coloring and collage of locust leaf rubbings.
During this isolating pandemic time, Price felt compelled to use her own body during the cyanotype exposure as a way to make a more direct communication with the viewer and link with elements of local flora. Here, her horizontal torso is at right; instead of stillness during the exposure, she gently rocked from side to side. Locust leaves were underneath and surrounding her body. It was an especially hot day, and her sweat marks the area where her rotating hips and upper thighs were partially blocking the sun.
